John Stelle to officiate Legion induction ceremony

National Commander John Stelle of the American Legion will preside at the induction of a group of candidates in Naugatuck. Donald Raythwich Wins Three High School Prizes

High school diplomas were presented to 132 graduates at an impressive ceremony on the Tuttle House lawns. Donald Robert Raythwich delivered the valedictory and the class essay while Miss Victoria Dulen ski wrote the essay and Miss Phyllis Jane Reeds gave the welcome. The event featured music from the high school orchestra and Girls Choir, with Mendelssohn songs and Elgar procession marking the program. The fight remarks by Rep O'Toole labeled the Louis Conn bout a joke and called for barring Mike Jacobs from the mails. The article continues on page six.

Russia Agrees To Withdraw Troops From Bulgaria

Military rites for Chester Wojna mark a large funeral in New Haven after a three week illness. The 32 year old former Naugatuck resident and World War II veteran was laid to rest at St James cemetery. A large contingent from Gold Star post and multiple veterans groups attended. Veterans organizations and auxiliary members joined in the service. A vigil by an honor guard preceded the ceremony at the funeral home.
