Janet Reber a 25 year old secretary testified to a six day survival ordeal after a plane crash in rugged terrain near Seola National Park Station. She endured bruises cuts possible rib fractures and near starvation after the disappearance of her boyfriend. She staggered into Hackett Meadow ranger station exhausted and was later flown to Sierra View District Hospital for treatment.
Funeral services were held for Julia Wisniewski at St Michael's in Beacon Falls and for Richard Grotzebach at Trinity Church in Waterbury. Arthur C Granger Jr. of 263 Billville Ave has been assigned to a company of the Fort Dix training regiment for eight weeks of basic training. After the initial eight weeks he will enter an eight week advanced industrial training program.
