Born in New Haven to Biagio and Michelina DeMaida he was a longtime Waterbury resident employed at Waterbury Pressed Metal Co. before retiring. Survived by wife Anna two sons two brothers one sister and four grandchildren. Funeral Wednesday 9:15 am from Majorano Funeral Home to St. Lucy Church solemn high Mass 10:15 burial Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call today 7 to p.m. and Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to p.m.

Mrs Frank Andrews Waterbury Dies After Brief Illness

Mrs Stella Sczepanska Andrews 82 wife of Frank Andrews of 244 Cooke St Waterbury died Saturday night at Waterbury Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Poland October 6 1891 she lived in Waterbury 50 years. Survives husband and several nieces and nephews. Private funeral Wednesday from Fitzgerald Zembruski Syrillo Funeral Home to St Margaret Church for Mass. Burial Calvary. Funeral home visitation 7 to 9 pm Tuesday.

Two Waterbury families mourn deaths in city area

Mrs. Augusta Schlageraiet of Waterbury and Mrs. Joseph Catherine Blinstrubas of Waterbury die after long illnesses. Schlageraiet, born in Germany in 1888, leaves six children and numerous grandchildren. Burial in Naugatuck Grove Cemetery. Blinstrubas, born in Lithuania, had resided in Waterbury 60 years and belonged to St. Joseph's Church and local societies. Memorials to church organ fund. Oil spill reported near New Haven Harbor. about 150 gallons leaked from a barge and was contained with cleanup in six hours. No damage.

Two Firms Seek Refinery Sites In Massachusetts Area

Lynn Mayor says two national companies show strong interest in building a refinery near Boston. Names withheld, but not Ari Onassis. Palmer Named By News Times Danbury Appointment News

Forrest C Palmer is named general manager and editor at the News Times Danbury. He has served as assistant general manager and editor and will take on administrative duties for all departments. Palmer, a Connecticut native, joined the paper in 1968 and has led Sunday edition planning and photocomposition upgrades. He is active in journalism groups and lives in Danbury with his wife Mary and two sons.
