Franciscan Brother Paschal Moeller dies after 97 years in Paterson
Heath of Franciscan Priest in Paterson notes the passing of John Moeller also known as Brother Paschal, aged 97, longtime inmate of the Franciscan Monastery of St. Bonaventure in Paterson born Fulda Germany. He joined the order in 1842 and after Bismarck’s suppression of monasteries in southern Germany came to the Paterson monastery where he lived and spoke only three times in 97 years.
