The War Department notified Mrs. Evelyn Barboza of 82 Johnson Street that her husband Cpl. Tosaph Barboza of Bristol died in action in Germany. He had previously been listed as missing in action since December 1. Barboza, 24, had been in a tank division since March and formerly worked at the U S Rubber footwear plant in town. He is survived by his wife, his parents Mr. and Mrs Anthony Barboza, and three sisters, with relatives in Bristol and Newport.
