United Rubber to acquire Martin chemical division plants
The United States Rubber Co. proceeds with a major expansion by purchasing the Glenn L. Martin Co. chemical division. The body of 29 year old Navy veteran John P. Cotter, a World War II hero cited for valor, was found strangled with his own necktie on a Bridgeport sidewalk.
