Winners announced at the Naugatuck Chemical plant contest with Miss Margaret Moriarity taking first prize of 25 dollars for There Is No Ceiling On Safety. Other prizes went to Margarete Morinelty 23 dollars, Rheinhold Passuck 15 dollars, and John Ries 10 dollars for slogans promoting safety. Judges included Edward M. Sellis, Donald E. Fowler, and Stephan S. Andrews.

Funeral Held Here for William Norris After Pig Attack
The funeral for 88 year old William V Norris of Mulberry Road was held at Buckmiller Funeral Home and St Francis Church after he was found dead Saturday following a fall and attack by a large sow and two smaller pigs. Witnesses said a neighborhood child called for help. Dr David Blue concluded death from a torn windpipe and head injuries. Burial followed at St James Cemetery with Rev Kennedy officiating.
