New Millionaire to Buy First Conn Lottery Ticket
Adam Brajczewski, a 76 year old Newington Hospital patient who turns 77 on Christmas Day, will buy Connecticut’s first lottery ticket from Governor Meskill after meeting with Joseph Burns of the state gambling commission. Brajczewski won $1 million in New York earlier this week, and his son William accompanied him. Burns says the first 50 cent tickets go on sale Feb 15 with a March 1 drawing and $5,000 prizes for every 100,000 tickets sold.
