Charles Brush a well known local resident died Friday afternoon at St. Marys hospital Winterhill after a fall on South Main street. He was born in New York City and had lived here for years. Funeral arrangements are to be announced.
Irving Rosenblatt died this morning after a long illness. He was a graduate of Naugatuck High School and worked in his father's Maple Street store. Surviving are his parents Morris and Mia Rosenblatt, wife Liliane, three grown children, and several siblings. Services will be held in New Haven with burial at Waterbury Cemetery. arrangements incomplete.
Joseph Ff Walsh 53 of Misxia whrita Ind and native of Naughsuck was struck and killed by a New York Central freight train in South Bend Ind The mangled body lay about 253 feet from the intersection of the accident He was born November 11 1892 in Naugatuck a graduate of Naugatuck High School and Harvard University 1919 AB He married Anna Dinch and is survived by two sons William and James Patrick and three daughters JoAnn Rosemary and Linermanihtr The article notes unclear remaining names and details about property but confirms the fatal train incident and family survivors.

Chairman William F Kelly announced the annual Christmas party for about 1000 children at Odd Fellows hall Sunday at 1 35 pm. Warl Burke will give the welcome as the festivities begin with two large trees two Santa Clauses and a fine program directed by Paul E Buckmiller including music dance contests carols and songs by the Honpy Vert and Morton trio. After the party the Meadowbrook Home visit will follow with presents for the girls and an entertainment program for inmates.

Gabe Price deputy collector of Internal Revenue Waterbury district announced no Internal Revenue visits at the Naugatuck post office on Monday December 24 or Monday December 31. An agent will be at the post office Thursday December 27 and Thursday January 3 to balance the two Mondays. After January 9 the weekly Monday presence resumes, with a special schedule near Naugatuck for income tax filing preparations.

Heidelberg, Germany December 22 General Patton will be buried in Luxembourg on Christmas Eve per his widow's wish though he did not die on the battlefield. The 60 year old general survived a broken neck from a recent car crash but later died of pneumonia complications while healing in a plaster cast.
