John Ogenskis 11 son of Mr and Mrs Bernard Ogenskis of 360 Med Street died at St Marys Hospital Waterbury from injuries suffered in a coasting accident on May Street last Monday. He and Carlo Uecker collided with a truck driven by Arthur Baummer of Carrot Street after avoiding a clash, both sustaining fractured skulls. Carlo Uecker died Tuesday. John had been in critical semi conscious condition since admission. funeral plans pending. He leaves one sister Mary and one brother Benjamin plus his parents.

Winsted Doctor Dies After Long Illness
Dr. Clarence D. Cutworth longtime lead physician at Winsted tied at his home after thirteen weeks of illness. A native of South Londonderry Vermont he was 45. He studied at Cushing Academy and Hahnemann Medical College and practiced in Bellows Falls before coming to Winsted. He served on the Litchfield County Hospital board and is survived by his wife.

Charles F. Brooker of Ansonia Dies at 79
Charles F. Brooker, longtime chairman of the board of the American Brass Co. of Ansonia Conn., died today aged 79 after a lingering illness. Born March 4, 1847 in Litchfield County, he studied in Litchfield and Torrington and earned an A M from Yale in 1911. A former president, he led the 1920 merger efforts with Anaconda Copper Co. while preserving the company’s separate structure. A Republican leader in Connecticut, he served in the state Senate and on the Republican National Committee, and attended multiple national conventions. He was an Episcopal vestryman in Ansonia and member of several clubs in New Haven, New York, Washington, and Chicago.

A North River launch known as the Linseed King capsized after striking an ice floe, with Captain Rowland estimating at least thirty six drowned. Two Deaths From Cold Reported in Hiridgeport
Two men perished from exposure during the cold snap in Hiridgeport. John Gertz, 45, disappeared from his Spruce Street residence and was found dead in a snow bank on Pine Street. James Carmody, 71, died at Withilte Nome after being found unconscious in an unheated room on Howard Avenue.
