William T. Connelly 56 of Naugatuck dies after brief illness
William T. Connelly 56 of 42 Fuller Street Naugatuck died Wednesday at Yale New Haven Hospital after a short illness. He was born October 16 1919 in Naugatuck to Elizabeth Walker Connelly and the late William T. Connelly. He worked as a foreman in the electrical department at Uniroyal Chemical. A U S Navy veteran of World War I and the Korean conflict he was a member of St Michael's Episcopal Church American Legion Post 17 Crusader Post VFW No. and the Naugatuck Lodge of Elks 967. He is survived by his widow Elaine Grieder Connelly of Naugatuck and his mother of Waterbury. Private funeral services will be held Saturday at Alderson Funeral Home with burial in Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St Michael's Episcopal Church Memorial Fund.
