The High School Choir and the Adult Bell Ringers from Congregational Church will perform at the Annual Christmas Tea of the Naugatuck Council of Catholic Women on Sunday December 19 at 2 p.m. in the Francis School Hall. The program features original compositions by Mrs. McCleary a Chopsticks arrangement and Christmas carols. Frederick Davyell will solo ring, having learned from Miss Elizabeth Bradford of the New England Guild. The 53 member choirs tour local towns and Ipswich Massachusetts. The St Hedwigs Holy Name Society held its monthly meeting to elect officers for the coming year. Stanley Rozycki was reelected as president. Leo Krajewski and Chester Romanski were reelected as 1st vice president and vice president respectively. New officers include Zelgmont Harranowski as recording secretary Frank Zdvodowski as managerial secretary Paul Smolinski as treasurer and Louis Catlana as marshal. Rev Henry Fledorczyk will be the chaplain. The next meeting is Sunday January 9 at 1 30 pm with a Mass at 1 80 pm and the society will induct members just before Mass.

Edward J Gamavho commander of Post 1946 Veterans of Foreign Wars announced their annual campaign to raise funds for silkroom equipment for free home use by convalescent residents. Henry R Ross Russell Valley Hite Valley and William A Sedgwick manage the effort with post credentials. donations are for new renewals or gift subscriptions to popular magazines.
