The execution of Josef Kramer and ten lieutenants followed their convictions for mass murder at Beldeen. The Nazi killers were among the first hanged at Pantin after a trial in Gelsenpeton ramp. Survivors of the Holocaust are named alongside Gruse and others implicated in the killings.
Colonel Anderson, a World War II staff officer in the U S Army Airborne Division, will speak at the Naugatuck Rotary Club meeting next Wednesday at 12 35 PM in the Y M C A. His talk, The Invasion of Europe, covers D-Day glider jumps, frontline combat in Holland Germany Italy and Bastogne with awards including the Bronze Star and Presidential Citation.
Janitor Larre Guzunas of 49 Spring Street, working at the Tuttle house on Church Street, was reportedly struck from behind while crossing North Church Street near the Tuttle property between 4:30 and 5:00 AM. The driver was not identified and no police report was filed as of press time. Guzunas returned to work today.
Mrs. Gertrude Madigan, director of adult education, received praise from the Naugatuck board for broadening the adult education program. Superintendent Harold B. Chittenden noted strong enrollment growth in non English classes and citizenship concerns, with gymnasiums in use nearly every evening and improved lighting in the high school gym.
General Patton is reported in excellent condition after injuries in a night accident. Doctors say his condition improves and may allow a plaster cast and transport to the United States soon.

Chelsea Massachusetts police say a wide year old girl confessed to sending a 3000 ransom demand to the father of kidnapped baby Ruine Garlan. They stress she appears unrelated to the abduction.
Albert Schultz of Naugatuck died in Waterbury on Thursday after a long illness at age 81. Born May 15, 1864 in Germany, he came to the United States in 1880 and lived in Naugatuck many years, working as a gardener for the late Miss Gertrude B. Whittemore before retiring 20 years ago. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran church.
Naugatuck endures heavy snow blanketing streets into morning with a four to five inch fall and a icy crust. Street crews cleared roads as temperatures dipped to ten degrees, leading to hazardous travel conditions and forecasts of more snow and continued cold.

Joseph Sargent of 5 Cotton Hollow was involved in a two vehicle crash on the Naugtuck Falls road near Riversides, when his car skidded into the rear of a large tank truck operated by Donald W. Tucker of East Haven. Police investigate, no arrests made, with court action pending for the truck driver tomorrow in Naugetuck borough court.
The Pas ton trawler Gele with Stener crew is in serious danger about 150 miles northeast of Halifax Harbor. Rescue craft attempt a tow line to pull clear the vessel but high seas and heavy winds hinder every effort to reach and save the men aboard.
