Twenty colored lights were taken from two Christmas trees on the Green in Norman. Salvation Army workers reported the theft as police investigated. One tree was to be permanently lit. the old tree is dying. The News planted the other tree, decorated by John Moroney, with Salvation Army arranging.

Borough Men Sentenced In High Court
Waterbury Superior Court sentenced Andrew Lagonick of 48 Hoten Kiss Street to a one year suspended term with probation after pleading guilty to assault with a dangerous weapon. He was held on $2,000 bond after an arraignment in borough court stemming from an alleged knife attack on Henry Ploski and Michael Sharon. In related actions, Lupka of 152 Scott Street received 30 days for breach of the peace following an alleged wallet theft and assault. Santa Claus Arrives Here Tomorrow in Christmas Village
