Waterbury Obituary Daniel Barbieri Projectionist

Daniel Barbieri of 42 Kearney Drive Waterbury died Tuesday at Waterbury Convalescent Center after a short illness. Born in Italy he came to the United States as a child, living in Naugatuck then Waterbury. He worked as a projectionist at the Alhambra Theater for over 50 years and also at the Palace Theater. He is survived by his wife Carrie Guerrera Barbieri and several nieces and nephews. Funeral from Zappone Funeral Home to St. Lucy's Church for Mass Thursday at 9. Burial in Mel Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call today from 1 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Victor Bessette Dies at 70 in St. Albans Vermont

Victor Bessette 70 of Lake Street St. Albans formerly Waterbury Conn. died November 24 at his home. Born February 7 1903 in SabreVais Quebec Canada he was the son of Cleophas and Aliva Bessette. He worked for Uniroyal in Naugatuck when in Waterbury and leaves his wife Eva Hessette a daughter a granddaughter a brother and three sisters including Jenny Bissonnette of Naugatuck Conn. Funeral was held last Tuesday at Holy Angels Church St. Albans with burial in Mt Calvary Cemetery.

Melvin W. Thorpe, 66, formerly of Cheshire Connecticut, died Saturday November 9 1907 in Pompano Beach Florida. He was retired as Eastern Division sales manager for Uniroyal Rubber Co.
