UConn Senate Calls For Recruitment Moratorium Amid Protests

The University of Connecticut Senate votes 19 to 6 for a campus recruitment moratorium until a new policy satisfies all groups. The move follows a Nov. 26 protest that injured a security officer and an Olin Mathieson recruiter. over 20 arrests were made. President Homer Babbidge will study the resolution while security measures, including state police presence, stay in place.
