Arthur Fiedler To Conduct Waterbury Symphony Dec 12

World famous Boston Pops conductor Arthur Fiedler will lead the Waterbury Symphony Orchestra in a Special Pops Concert at Kennedy High School Auditorium Waterbury on Saturday December 12 at 8 30 p m Soloist will be violinist Jeanne Mitchell The program includes Overture to The Secret Marriage Violin Concerto in D major Beethoven selections from Show Boat Three Beatle Tunes and a Leroy Anderson Christmas Festival Tickets available by writing Waterbury Symphony Orchestra Box 1762 Waterbury 06720 or at the Kennedy High School box office.

Murray Promoted Credit Manager at Uniroyal Division

John C Murray is named credit manager for Uniroyals chemical division announced by division controller D C Pinto. A New Haven native and University of Connecticut graduate, Murray joined in 1962 after a stint at Dur and Bradstreet and is a member of the National Association of Credit Management. Dempsey Receives Moon Dust Plaque In Washington Visit

Governor John N. Dempsey returned to Connecticut with a moon dust plaque presented by President Nixon to 42 governors at a Washington meeting on narcotics. The plaque bears the Connecticut flag and Nixon’s inscription. Dempsey also pressed for federal support to modernize the New Haven rail line and sought House approval of a two state compact already backed by the Senate.
