Obituary for Alvie C Johnson of Prospect aged 80
Alvie Charles Johnson 80 of 12 Williams Dr Prospect died yesterday at St Marys Hospital. Dr Joseph Daly medical examiner ruled natural causes. He was born in Sweden Oct 30 1889, lived in Waterbury 49 years, moved to Prospect five years ago, retired 1959 as a conductor for New York New Haven Railroad. Survived by widow Arvilla Murphy Johnson of Prospect, a brother Henry Johnson Danbury, a sister Mrs William Levack Glastonbury, and several nieces. Funeral tomorrow 11 am West Side Hill United Methodist Church Waterbury conducted by Rev Walter Towle. Burial Pine Hill Cemetery Southbury. Friends may call Hickcox Funeral Home Water town 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
