Remarkable 103 Year Old Norwalk Resident Passes Away
Mrs Phoebe W Crabbe died at her Merwin Street home aged 103 born August 5 1797 in North Stamford. She survived by son Captain Cyrng Crabbe of New York City and was active in gardening knitting and reading. She moved to Norwalk in 1892 and lived mostly alone with a companion Miss Morehouse. She attended Congregational church and her husband David M Crabbe died in 1888. A separate item notes Alfred Bingen a stock broker was found dead with a gunshot wound at Long Branch implying suicide.
