Two veteran workers of the Rautuck Chemical Co were honored by more than 100 company officials and employees at a dinner at the North Waverly Inn. Susan Wheeler, 68 Ogie Street, entered the company in 1917 as the first woman pensioned. Andrew Walker, 168 May Street, employed since 1908, helped build plant structures and served as plant fire chief. John F. Gee and John B. Caskey led tributes praising loyalty and service. The honors included watches and purses, with laughter and memories shared, followed by dinner and music.

Frank G Arendholz 84 of New Haven road died yesterday afternoon at Waterbury hospital after a brief illness. A native of Naugatuck he served 14 years as borough selectman and worked for U S Rubber Co until retirement 13 years ago. He was a charter member of the borough Knights of Pythias. Survivors include his wife Laura a son Mervin T of Portsmouth NH a daughter Mrs Walter Painter and a nephew Charles V Avendholz both of Naugatuck and three granddaughters. Funeral services tomorrow at 11 at Buckmiller Funeral Home Park Place with Rev Richard Baxter officiating. Burial in Grove Cemetery.
