Mrs Nora Colligan 70 longtime Connecticut school worker
Mrs Nora G Colligan 70 widow of Matthew Colligan of 20 Adna Road Bristol died Wednesday at Bristol Hospital after a long illness. Born December 23 1902 in Naugatuck she was a daughter of John and Nora Broderick. A Bristol resident for two years formerly of Meriden she worked 22 years at the Connecticut School for Boys as a cottage mother. She belonged to St Gregorys Church and Foresters of America. Survived by two sons Wallace of Castleton VT and Warren of Bristol a brother Thomas Broderick of Bristol a sister Mrs Mary Goggan of Waterbury 12 grandchildren six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral from OBrien Funeral Home on Lincoln Avenue Saturday at 8 to St Gregorys at 9 for Mass of the Resurrection Burial in St Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call today 2–4 and 7–9 p.m.

Ildefonsas Jankauskas of 381 Willow Street Waterbury husband of Maria Gesas Jankauskas died Thursday at Waterbury Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Lithuania he was a todlmaker by trade and formerly employed by Uniroyal Inc for 10 years retiring a year ago. He leaves wife, one son Vytautas Jankauskas, two daughters Janina Jankauskas and Alodija Moran, two sisters in Lithuania, three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Budget funds pour into mental health and state workers
The budget approved last July 1 provides 84 million for tax cuts with 56 million aiding individuals and 28 million aiding business. The 244 million deficit is financed by bonds and notes as council notes. State debt totals 2.121 billion per Treasurer Ives. SAYBROOK Conn UPD Harry Martin 70 of Bristol a retired engineer says he will use his 75000 prize to cool off buy a new air conditioner and a refrigerator take some trips and retire. The winning number was 659. Martin worked 40 years for New Departure Bearings in Bristol and has a 40 year old son and 31 year old daughter. A 15000 prize went to Fred Sikolowsky 50 of Southington a Pratt amp Whitney machine operator. He plans to buy a car pay the mortgage and fund his children's education.
