John Etheridge, 24, in jail at Catskill New York charged with forgery and sought by police in Asbury Park Long Branch Scranton and Dover. The old schooner Polly, a century old ship built in 1805 in Amesbury Massachusetts, has been sold by Capt. George Ryan of Belfast to Capt. Edward Blastow of Little Deer Isle. The 45 ton, 66 foot vessel became famed for her role in the War of 1812 when she carried corn and rum and was seized by a British prize crew before the crew regained control and were freed. The Polly later sailed to Portland with the prize crew in irons after recapture.
