John M. Kennedy of Nauga tuck is now a runner in the American Army at the front. Two local district youths sent to Camp Devens on July 25 were rejected on physical grounds by the Board of Exemption. Also notes a charity board meeting tonight and a 1943 item about Private Raymond Pless on leave with a tire pile fire and Private John Somers gaining camouflage expertise.

Delegates from Waterbury and Naugatuck assemblies attended the 22nd biennial International Order of Rainbow for Girls session in Toronto July 18 25 at the Royal York Hotel and King Edward Sheraton. A banquet seated 1800, Deborah Toone served as page, and a Niagara Falls side trip preceded the 1970 Ohio session.

Lens Logistics data from San Antonio reports 89.3 percent of HemisFair visitors carry cameras. The 622 foot Tower of the Americas is the top shot, followed by the United States Pavilion and other features. Still photography dominates, with 24 percent using movie cameras and an average 143 feet of film per person.
