Knights of Pythias Grand Lodge Adjourns After Tax Fight

Letter claims killer confession found in bottle at sea

President Mitchell Enjoined in West Virginia Mine Case

In Charleston West Virginia Judge Keller granted a temporary injunction restraining Chesapeake and Ohio Coal Company and about 50 coal firms in the New River fields along with the United Mine Workers and others from interfering with mine operations. The suit, filed in federal court, seeks to halt alleged unlawful conspiracies linked to an organization within the union and aims to protect coal production and shipments. A permanent injunction hearing is planned for November 18, 1902.
