Borough to be sued for sidewalk fall damages

Mrs Katherine Finan, acting as counsel for Avs Pinnan, filed a legal notice with the Borough Clerk to claim damages for injuries from a February fall on Galpin Street in front of Alexander and Mary Jane Smiths property. Plaintiff alleges a water plug four to five inches above the sidewalk caused a left arm injury and dislocation. negligence cites lack of warning signals. The issue was referred to Borough Attorney J F McDonough at the April meeting.

Demonstration of Singing by School Pupils in Naugatuck

William Hall Miner reports plans for a public singing demonstration at Naugatuck High School auditorium on Friday evening May 15. Selected singers from each grammar school will participate, with a silver collection to fund drums for the grammar school orchestra. Admission by ticket.
