Casper Celebration Glows with Parade and Fireworks
Festivities marked Independence Day in Casper with a large parade, music, and a drill by the Casper Lady Lancers. Weather cooled by rain, trains delayed, and crowds enjoyed races, exhibitions, and a heavy program. Chadron and Casper teams played ball, with Chadron winning later in the day. A Path dam contract was awarded to Bradbery & O Gara of Denver for the Pathfinder project. Separate boxing matches drew crowds, while bids for a railroad bridge near Casper were opened and a Casper fire department praise noted after a barn blaze subsided.
