Gory Clan Reunion Elects Officers at Fourth Annual Meet
The Cory clan held its fourth reunion at the Cory Ola fair grounds last Sunday in Paul city. Officers chosen for the year include President Mrs. Alice Barber Vice President Mrs Lenna Eckenrod Secretary and Treasurer Hal Ranson. The De Cory Clan descends from four brothers who settled in southern Wisconsin about 75 years ago. John and Daniel came to Iowa around 1870 and their descendants exceed one hundred. Attendees came from Waverly Cedar Falls Waterloo and nearby areas. A mock marriage ceremony amused the children aged 4 to 15 as part of a brief program. Invitations for the next annual meeting to be held in Waverly on the third Sunday in June were accepted unanimously.
