The past week brought multiple child bereavements as families in Madison Mimn and Waterloo mourn infants and young children. Vers, aged four years one month twenty two days, and Edna Jane Liggett would have turned one, both died after long illness. Funerals were held at Congregational Church and from Mrs Robe rt Liggett’s home, with many distant relatives attending. The Greene Recorder notes deep community sympathy for the families and interments at Greenwood and Rose Hill cemeteries.
