Charley Ayers Dies After Sudden Illness
Charles Ayers, longtime Bradford area resident and former Waterloo post office employee, died suddenly on Wednesday after Tuesday illness. Born November 22, 1872 in Iowa, he married Minnie Willson in 1895 and later Jean Rammbach, surviving with son Charles II. He served as city mail carrier, later ran a telephone company position, and was active in Freemasonry. Funeral services were held at Bradford lodge with Masonic rites in Waterloo, burial at Bimwood Cemetery.

Children enjoyed age-appropriate games, a Christmas story, and table treats of brick ice cream wafers hot chocolate and candy.
