Local Store Publishes School Supplies and Fall Dry Goods Offer

Prepared for them with a large stock of tablets pencils pens ink etc. A very large assortment of tablets to select from and we extend a special invitation to the school children to call and see our line before buying their supplies. We have also just received a large shipment of dry goods for school dresses and fall wear such as ginghams suitings serges etc. which we invite you to call and inspect.

Obituary of William Hiron Born 1847 in Adams IL

William Hiron died August 28 1918 at his home near Hubbell Nebraska at age 66 after a long illness. He was born March 2 1847 in Adams County Illinois and married Margaret Ulam January 27 1875. They lived in La Grange Missouri before moving to Kansas and then Nebraska. Survived by wife three children David and two daughters Mrs Coulter and Mrs John Coulter, five grandchildren and two adopted. The family and friends mourn his loss and honor his patient suffering.

Death of John Z Mitchell After Train Collision in Waverly

John Z Mitchell a former Waverly resident was struck by an eastbound freight while crossing the Burlington tracks after loading mail for the post office. He died at Passavant hospital in Jacksonville hours after the accident. Mitchell, born June 23 1844 in Fin den England, had ten children and several stepchildren. He lived in Illinois most of his life, joined Cumberland Presbyterian church at Providence, and worked as a jail carrier for the government at the time of his death.

Mitchell Family Funeral Notice in Waverly

One brother Thomas Mitchell and sister Mrs Sarah Anna Bryan preceded him to the grave. Surviving are three brothers William D Mitchell Edward D Mitchell George M Mitchell of Waverly and two sisters Mrs Mary E Canfield of this city and Mrs Charlotte Markee of Plymouth Ill. Two daughters Mrs Grace Edwards of Oklahoma and Mrs Hattie Fleser of Oregon absent. Funeral services were held at First M B church Tuesday Aug 19 at 2 30 in charge of Rev R Tubbart assisted by Rev Bod Campbell and Rev ALK Bunton. Pallbearers named along the family. Interment at a local cemetery. BASE BALL
