Bohemian National Alliance concert set at Narka March 24

The Narka branch of the Bohemian National Alliance announces a program March 24 at 1 00 pm featuring speaker Emil Tuma of Omaha and music by Miss A Kno flichek and Miss B Kno flichek from Plattsmouth. Admission 25 cents for 12 to 16 and 85 cents for 16 and up. A patriotic community event inviting Americans and Bohemians alike with a Prague Conservatory trained performer among the artists. Local Resident Found Dead in Agenda Home

Mr Murray of Agenda was found lifeless in his bed on Sunday afternoon. He is the father of Roy Murray, a well known local figure. Death is believed due to heart trouble after the prior day in good health at a store in Agenda. Cuba Daylight.

Red Cross Notes and Local Hall Event

Red Cross announces a box supper at Hollececk hall on Friday evening March 15 with a short program. Thanks are given to the M Y O B Club for 14 dollars for supplies and Mrs Jos Tep ley for use of her sewing machine. A list of articles sent to Belleville on March 11 includes 6 suits of pajamas 10 pillow cases 20 wash cloths 6 pair socks 1 muffler 1 operating gown 1 hot water bottle cover 7 bed socks 5 pair wristlets 1 sweater.

M. Y. O. B. Club Social Hosted by Mrs Thomas

Mrs E L Thomas entertained the M. Y. O. B. club at her home on March 8 with 2 ladies doing fancy work and others knitting Red Cross tasks. Mrs Yoder sang patriotic songs and light refreshments were served before the group planned to meet with Mrs L H Koontz in April.

Golden Wedding Celebration for Carl and Jenson Pair

Mr. and Mrs. Carl Jenson marked their Golden wedding anniversary on March 10 1918 at their home southeast of Belleville Kansas. They emigrated in 1869 and were married in Denmark. The event drew many relatives including the Lash and Lund families with a large dinner hosted by their daughter and granddaughter.

Sixtieth Wedding Anniversary for Mr and Mrs L W Bixler

Mr and Mrs L W Bixler of Munden celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary on March 6 1918 at the Ramsbottom home. Mr Bixler born 183? in Ohio and Mrs Louisa Warnick born in Indiana. They lived pioneer life in Kansas and Michigan before settling near Munden. Sixty guests attended with music readings flowers and speeches. They have one living child Mrs Jas Ramsbottom and one deceased, six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
