D Goodson moved to his newly purchased farm last week. Several residents, including Oliver Black and Carl Dooges, moved or helped with moves on Saturday and Monday. Visitors from Fairbury and Reynolds stopped by, with families like Thaller, Gregory, Dragoo, and Shortridge noted. Boy scouts gathered at the Henry Thaller home Monday evening.

Mrs. E. R. Lyons longtime resident of White Rock dies at Courtland after paralysis from injuries in an auto crash. She had sued White Rock township for damages in district court. the case went to the supreme court and was remanded for a new trial but again ruled against her.

District Court News Feb term ends with several judgments

The February district court term concluded Friday with multiple cases. Carl Nelson sentenced to the Kansas State Reformatory for burglary and grand larceny. others involve attachments, dismissals, alimony, custody, quiet title, and a receivership with a $1,000 bond. Obituary of Rachel Harris who lived across several states

Rachel Harris born March 28 1838 in Ohio lived with parents in Indiana from 1841 and moved to Boone County Iowa in 1854. She married John H. Thomas in 1855, farm near Boone, moved to Kansas in 1877, survived by three sisters two brothers ten children forty eight grandchildren and many friends. She was a longtime M E church member and endured long illness with faith in God.

Montgomery Held For Assault In Glasco Fight

Richard Montgomery of Glasco was bound over to the district court for trial on an assault with intent to kill charge after a preliminary hearing before Justice Sexsmith. Bond was set at $3,000, posted. The case stems from a fight at a crap game in which an ax was used on Lee Teasley.

Auction Totals Near Seven Thousand West of Scandia

The A. T. Garman sale last week west of Scandia totaled nearly $7,000. The stock, which was all good, brought high prices. Old sows near Courtland fetched top tee erie rulinger. Spring gilts averaged $71 with A. T Wohlforg buying the top animal.
