George William Dawson born October 14 1893 in King City Missouri died June 30 1916 at Shoemaker hospital Lincoln Nebraska aged 22 years 8 months 16 days He married Emma Masten June 26 1914 After illness and surgeries he sold his dray business and bought a Mahaska restaurant He united with the Christian church at 17 and died after a hospital operation His wife mother three sisters five brothers and other relatives mourn him Funeral services were held July 2 at the M E church Mahaska Cemetery interment in Mahaska cemetery Mahaska Leader

Auto Crash Near Town Injures Lacy Couple
Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Lacy, driving home from Hubbell, halted on a hill near Mr. Heriik’s when the engine died. The car rolled back, went over an embankment, and overturned, pinning Mr. Lacy beneath it and bruising Mrs. Lacy. He suffered broken ribs and bruises. she had minor injuries. They are reported as doing as well as could be expected.
