Fire destroys W P Dunlap storage barn in south town
Sunday morning a blaze gutted the W P Dunlap storage barn on west Lincoln avenue near Bridge street. Firemen, led by Bob Lee from the depot area, prevented spread but the building and its contents, including a Republic truck, were total losses. Estimated damage about 5000 dollars with 3700 dollars insured. Cause undetermined. fire reported to state fire marshal as unknown. The Dunlaps, formerly of Norway, had long lived in Clay Center.
