Kansas City cattle receipts for last week totaled 58 000 with Westerns and stockers rising while corn fed cattle and quarantines were tighter. Prices gained 10 cents on most categories with top corn fed steers near $5.00 to $5.50, and hog and sheep trends mixed as markets fluctuated. Also noted is Newfoundland’s half year revenue of 1.2 million and Lincolnshire’s land reclamation from the sea.
