Glass of Spokane claims the Purcell dairy ground overlaps Idaho No. 2 and belongs to him after a flawed assessment. Meanwhile Thompson and partners discover a four foot galena ledge on the Goodenough claim, staking over Purcell land. JIL Ritchie and J Dugan report gold shipments from Forty-nine creek while Camerson Bros. of Kaslo ship ore from Woodbury creek. Antoine Gretzette and partners own six Kaslo claims as crews test the Antoine. The Bluebell mine on Kootenay lake uses a primitive concentrator with ore yielding two and a half to one. Colonel Peyton and C Vader arrive at Burton City to test Cariboo creek samples. Briggs Bros of Minnesota operate eleven Kaslo creek claims with the Ben Hur tunnel begun and ore assays from 92 to 202 ounces silver. Surrounded by road access, the Surprise claim near Noble Five ships up to 300 tons this winter.
