Nakusp and its mine laden gateway on Arrow Lake
Arrow Lake becomes the gateway to the Slocan mines with the Nakusp and Slocan Railway terminus and a shipping port for New Denver. The town, famed for fishing and hunting near hot springs, plans to ship ore to Revelstoke. Gold and silver lodes lie within three miles, and Nakusp hosts six hotels, stores, a sawmill, a wharf, warehouses, and other facilities.
