Getchell Wins Elks State Golf Championship

Ron Getchell of Tacoma won the Coquille Valley Elks Club state golf championship over Erv Dettman in a Sunday final. Medallist honors went to John Day after a playoff with Steve Novak. Nona Thrift led women with low net and prizes were awarded to several players, with gifts from Vera Thompson and Nona Thrift.
