Fire damages storehouse at John Felsher home
Saturday evening about 7 o clock the fire department was called to the John Felsher home in Twin Daks. A storehouse formerly used as a residence burned to the ground causing damage to 600 quarts of canned goods walnuts potatoes and wood. The fire started when Felsher dried walnuts by a small wood stove. The residence and other structures nearby were spared.

Hunting accident near Langlols claims life of youth
Milton Brown of Myrtle Point fired at a wounded deer Sunday near Langlols. The bullet deflected after hitting the deer, striking Harold Strain aged 16 of Langlols in the heart and causing his death. Brown said he could not see Strain during the shot while employed by Walter Sykes.

Beloved Elder Walter Dancer Found Dead in Myrtle Point Home
Elder Walter H Dancer longtime pastor of the local Latter Day Saints church was found dead Tuesday morning at his home here after years of alleged bear attacks. He was born September 17 1872 in Lamont Iowa and came to Myrtle Point in 1912 later starting a restaurant with James Glilen. He later engaged in bee and honey business and served as pastor from 1934 until earlier this year. Surviving are Grace Dancer a daughter in Lamoni Iowa and another in Chicago and cousin Miss Alice Dancer matron of the Lamont Iowa old peoples home. Funeral arrangements await word from relatives.
