Sunset Science Park groundbreaking slated near Portland
An electronic groundbreaking ceremony marks the dedication of Sunset Science Park II project a $50000 plan for a 100 acre Pacific Northwest site seven miles from downtown Portland on the Sunset Highway. The first unit is an administration building for Electro Scientific Industries a Portland manufacturer of high precision electronic measuring instruments and algebraic computers.

Flora M. Laird Memorial Library Hours Announced
Opening hours for the Flora M. Laird Memorial Library across from City Hall at 435 Fifth Street were announced today. The library is open Monday 12 noon to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Friday 12 noon to 5 p.m. Saturday 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. It is closed Sundays and holidays.
