Drive For Blood Donors to Start Here This Week

Recruitment of 208 volunteer blood donors in the Co and Point areas under the plan. Donors are unpaid and patients not charged for transfusions. Johannes Haese, a German exchange student, will attend Myrtle Point Union High School for the 1949 50 term. The program is funded by the Church of the Brethren through its Elgin Illinois commission and supported by the American Occupation government in Germany and local sponsors. He is the only student located in Oregon among 47 nationwide.
