Youth center plan gains student support in Myrtle Point
Myrtle Point High School students back a Youth Activities Center to give youths a space for recreation and growth. A steering committee led by Bruce Lee with Sue Belcher, Gail Egelhoff, Diana Cook and Terry Cline organized the first meeting on October 23 in the bandroom, urging community involvement and responsible youth governance.

Christmas music schedules for School District 41

Coquille approves hospital bond for 90 thousand dollars
Coquille voters approved a 90 000 bond issue by 494 to 468 to fund hospital construction completion equipment and supply costs. The hospital board chair George Ulett said construction should finish by December 10 with opening planned for mid December after the sprinkler system was installed.

Santa to visit Myrtle Point for weekend appearances
