Covus County Commissioner Frank Reina Found Dead At Home

Covus County Commissioner Frank Reina aged 69 was found dead at his Catching Creek home near Broadbent early Tuesday. The Cyos County Sheriff's Office says a gunshot wound appears self inflicted. Reina served five years as a county commissioner and was a longtime resident active in several local organizations including the Coquille Valley Elks Lodge and Coos County Livestock Association. He held leadership roles in the Coos County Tax Association and served as a ward en for the Coos County Fire Patrol. Local figures note his ties to Brookings and nearby areas.
