Bear Emerges Early From Winter Quarters on South Fork
Government hunter Clarence Mullens visited a cave on the Jake Hayes place on the South Fork to rouse bears from hibernation. He found only one bear had emerged, leaving a large foot imprint in the snow while the others were reportedly trapped on Hayes sheep ranges.

Mrs Ernest Norris, wife of Ernest Norris, died at the Mast hospital around 4 30 this morning after an illness of more than a year. Funeral arrangements were not set.
