McKinley Lumber Buys Land in County Deal Totals Over 15000
McKinley Lumber Co purchased a large land tract from the county this week as part of a series of sales totaling more than 15 000. The north half of the northeast quarter of section eight township 28 south range 11 west was bought for 7 185 with a 60 foot right of way. Deeds signed Monday included J Stanley Emory’s purchase of east 66 1/2 feet of lot 1 block 12 Town of Marshfield for 3 750. The Matlock building at Second and Commercial Coos Bay now hosts the Red Cross chapter. Mr and Mrs J D Brewer bought the northeast quarter and south half of the southeast quarter of section 24 township 29 south range 18 west for 2 640. The south half of the northwest quarter and north half of the southwest quarter of section 9 township 29 south range 13 west were bought by C C Carter for 2 000.
