School board sets March hearing on supplemental budget

Mr Heimer Juggles Joy Despite Hospital Stay on Island

Street Improvements Planned in Myrtle Point Districts 17 and 18
Myrtle Point City Council approved two street projects and set a public hearing for April 6 at 7:30 p.m. District 17 covers grading drainage realignment asphalt paving and driveway approaches on Stover 19th Hazel and Sunset Lane at an estimated 82 248. District 18 will repave one block of Sixth Street north of Ash Street at about 9 575. The council also considered vacating Hermann Street for Nazarene Church but limited the opening to 20 feet and referred the matter to planning. A Hamilton Thrift land proposal near Maple and Fourth Fifth Streets was discussed, while handicapped access and Lenherr Park tennis funding were tabled.
