Constance Weffman and Melvin Labart married at the bride’s mother’s home. The ceremony in the garden featured ferns and calla lilies with Rev. W A Briggs officiating. The bride wore a white sports suit and carried pink carnations and white gladiolas. A reception followed for seventy five guests before the couple’s brief honeymoon. Mrs Labart was later rushed to Entre hospital for emergency appendectomy.

Pre-rodeo dance to feature Curly Franz band at Oakes pavilion
A pre rodeo dance will be held at Oakes pavilion Saturday night with Curly Franz and Curley's Wranglers providing music. Hollywood cowboy entertainer Bob Stacks will perform with the group for the first time in southwestern Oregon during the July 6 dance at the rodeo site.
