Medford Oregon June 15 Grange adopts resolutions urging a constitutional amendment to allow state water power development and transmission to utilities and municipalities. It calls for unified higher education, avoiding course duplication, economies, and centralized administration across Oregon colleges and normal schools.
An uncertain notice states Mast Motor Co has word from Seattle fortiand about a school bus to be exhibited this week. The fragment suggests preparations for an upcoming display involving the vehicle.
Broadbent Oregon June 17 members of the mg and calf clubs with leaders planned a picnic June 7 at the Wagner bar. The day included parents and a corny sunny outing as club families joined in travel and visits with relatives across nearby towns.
Taxpayers who have not filed state income tax returns now have until the 26th of the month to file. The deadline was moved from the 5th. Individuals with income sufficient to require a return should file promptly to avoid severe penalties.

Sunday school observed children day with recitations songs and stories led by Evelyn Morrison Mary Louise Culver Lou Hooton and others. Attendance reached 45 as Loyal Temperance Legion members helped decorate with flowers. Hazel Davis left for Portland to enter Good Samaritan hospital training. Recent Bridge Grange delegate Heathon reported a very enjoyable state convention in Medford.

California buyers with engineers are close to bond transfer under a mining option and plan to develop a 100 foot tunnel and crosscut the ledge with gold silver and lead values. Opened Green Horse trail aids access as Bethlehem Steel interest wanes.
Bob Harrison, mining prospector, shows a cougar skull and claws from a deadly encounter on a dark trail. He faced a lunging beast, fired deadly shots, and survived with a headless, eight and a half foot carcass. Harrison, long plagued by a lame jog, credits a lucky shot and a hidden charge for saving his life.
G F Robison was elected school director at the annual meeting. J L Burtis was re elected if Olaf Aasen sold a yearling Jersey to A E Kendall of Coquille for 100 dollars. Aasen owns a high producing pure bred Jersey herd. Claire Keltner returns from Ashland to teach at Florence. Ben Moomaw travels to Ashland for his son Jacob and family. The Dietrichs of Marshfield and the Root and Rice families from Granada visited. Kenneth Carl returns from Corvallis for the summer. Reneva Volkmar visits.
