Ma Maurice Orlando Hooton died at his home in Coquille at 12 45 this morning from a paralytic stroke suffered Sunday. He was 70 and born November 21 1864 in Indiana. Surviving are his widow Callie Belle Hooton a son Arthur Hooton and a daughter Anne Dungey both of Coquille and a brother A O Hooten of Bridge. Funeral at 2 o'clock Friday at the Christian church Coquille with Co W Gano in charge and interment in Coquille cemetery.
An orphan from Bandon named for several years with Mrs Effie of the coast city died at Mast hospital Monday after a hip boul, general blood poisoning, and critical condition. He was brought in last Thursday and doctors made no effort to save him as plans for Oregon Farms Irrigation to Ald Cattle Farm Tentative plant are being worked out.
