Chamber of Commerce Dinner Sets Membership Drive
The annual chamber dinner was held Tuesday evening in Bank of Myrtle Point offices. Only in good standing members may vote. City Marshal Bert Pearson will select new members this week to attend the dinner Tuesday sight. The drive aims to recruit farmers into the chamber as their leadership is needed on local problems. National Thrift Week runs January 17 to 23 with five dollar prizes for best student essays in junior high. George B. Dickinson plans thrift week activities and possible school visits. The state chamber praised the local chapter for promoting Oregon products and home patronage. Attendees included Elmer Russell, L. H. Pearce, Geo. B. Dickinson, Elton Schroeder, Mayor Chas. Harnecker, L. P. Linn, and Geo. E. Hamilton.

City Council Tightens Dog Licensing and Delinquent Assessments

Mina Magness Returns from Oregon Visit
